  • West Stockbridge Historical Society 9 Main Street West Stockbridge, MA, 01266 United States (map)

5 Week Series

Mondays (6:00-7:00pm)

February 23 – March 30, 2026

Registration required. This series is full.

As the famous Chinese philosopher and founder of Taoism, Lao Tzu, wrote in the Tao Te Ching:  "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

In the Beginner Plus series, students will continue practicing the 24 Move Form to develop confidence, ease and flow through the steps, learn how Tai Chi is a martial art and how the form balances our organs and emotions through the 5 Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

This is a standing practice.

Some Tai Chi experience is helpful!

  • Class is $20 cash or Venmo @maryhannah-parkman (code: 0285)

  • Here are some suggestions for what to bring/wear:

    • Comfortable clothes you can move easily in. Yoga type clothes or loose clothing is fine too because the movements are slow and done standing.

  • Footwear options:

    • You may do the sequence barefoot.

    • If you prefer protection - bring slippers

    • If you prefer more support - bring clean shoes.
