Tai Chi for Beginners: Learn the 24 Move Form

  • West Stockbridge Historical Society 9 Main Street West Stockbridge, MA, 01266 United States (map)

“I love an easy challenge” – Blue Q

Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, is the perfect “easy challenge.” It is a mix of exercise and meditation giving both your body and your brain a workout.

Now for the easy part: Mary Hannah Parkman, Certified Tai Chi instructor, will guide you step-by-step through the gentle flowing movements of the classic Yang-style 24-Move Form. Because Tai Chi postures are designed to harmonize the mind and body and reset the nervous system, you will leave feeling positive, accomplished, calm and grounded from experiencing a moving meditation. As an added bonus, practicing Tai Chi has many health benefits: improved balance, increased immune system support, improved cognitive function, and greater heart and respiratory health.

  • This is a standing practice. Shoes are optional, and encouraged, if your feet enjoy support and protection.

  • Beginners and all levels of experience are welcome!

  • 4 week series: November 10, 17, 24 & Dec. 1

  • For pre-registration & questions email: maryhannah.parkman@gmail.com

  • Class is $20 cash or Venmo @maryhannah-parkman (code: 0285)
