Celebrate World Tai Chi Day at The Mount!

Experience the beauty and healing properties of an Eastern Hemlock forest at The Mount, Edith Wharton's Estate and Gardens in Lenox, MA.

Join experienced outdoor guide and certified Tai Chi instructor, Mary Hannah Parkman, for a guided trail walk and forest bathing experience with simple to follow standing Tai Chi warmups and movements from the 8 Treasures of Tai Chi. These practices calm and reset the nervous system, bring balance to the body, and help cultivate peace in the present moment.
Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art, was inspired by nature and designed to enliven “chi” or life force energy for greater health and vitality.

  • Park in the main Upper Parking Lot. Meet by the Ticket booth.

  • Walk length approximately 0.5 miles. Mostly level or gently sloping trail.

  • Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes suitable for movement.
    *Rain will cancel.
