Join experienced outdoor guide and certified Tai Chi instructor, Mary Hannah Parkman, for a guided trail walk and forest bathing experience with simple to follow standing Tai Chi warmups and movements from the 8 Treasures of Tai Chi. These practices calm and reset the nervous system, bring balance to the body, and help cultivate peace in the present moment.
Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art, was inspired by nature and designed to enliven “chi” or life force energy for greater health and vitality.
Park by Town Hall. We will walk up the trail to Laurel Hill. There is a large flat open space under the trees where we will practice Tai Chi.
Walk length approximately 0.5 miles. Gently sloping trail.
Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes suitable for movement.
in the event of rain, our experience will be abbreviated to one hour.
